Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Sega for PlayStation 4. The game is the seventh main entry in the Yakuza series of action-adventure games, and was released in Japan on December 8, 2016. Originally scheduled to release in the rest of the world on March 20, 2018, the game was delayed to April 17, 2018.
Yakuza 6 is an action-adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. It is similar to that of other Yakuza titles with exploration mixed with arcade style over the top combat. Kazuma Kiryu returns as the main and only playable character and the game features locations of Kamurocho and Hiroshima.

Really looking forward to getting into this series in November and Christmas now that so many well done titles I have missed on this series are getting re release for the PS4. Going to really enjoy jumping in and having some fun over the 3 or 4 well rated games now out for the PS4. Thank you as always DG for the time these quality reviews take and for shinning the spotlight on this series.

Yakuza 0 is probably the best one… I remember getting the Japanese version in spring 2015… Great game!
Totally disagree about starting at yakuza 6. Start at yakuza 0. Starting at zero makes yakuza Kiwami (the part one remake), WAY better.
Starting at 6 you cannot appreciate reoccurring characters and their arcs through out the series.
I just love the Japanese culture and Yakuza is the only game which keeps reminding me of Shenmue.

i haven't played yakuza 6 yet, i started kiwame pretty late and i'm finishing it up right now, i just wanted to check this out to see what the new game engine looks like. is it just me or is the frame rate quite a bit lower in the new game? it doesn't look as smooth. either way the game still looks awesome.
