January 5, 2019Jeesus Christ – those aren't even "SCIENCE-FICTION" movies!…ffsake – "INTERSTELLAR" is "SCIENCE-FICTION" ! …"SPACE-ODYSSEY" or even freaking "THE MARTIAN" is actual "SCIENCE" / fiction! – can you even put the word "SCIENCE" in ANY OF THOSE?? If you make a movie and put an ALIEN or "GODZILLA" into it, doesn't mean that's automathically "SCIENCE-FICTION" – these are just stupid "modern-age"/ "superheroes&monsters" movies! …then they complain because the genre is going to SHIT!…

January 5, 2019It's amazing how many movies are controlled by the comic book industry now. About 40% of the upcoming movies are from either Marvel or DC. I read an article once that talked about days past where the heros were the everyday joes. Maybe a lonely hobbit, or Atticus Finch, or the nerdy teen in all the 80s rom coms. But that when times got tough, people turned to super heroes. I guess that explains why in the age of Trump, we all need to turn to someone with super human powers and why the comic book heroes rule the day. There's no common man going to get us out of our mess now. We are all turning to someone with invincible powers, they are the only ones who can save us now. Too bad they are fiction/escapism.
