I'd use the grip. It's slightly hard to put on, so you'll probaly need to shove the switch into the grip. It can hold up to five games, and, because of how large the grips are, it is very comfortable,. The grips can also hold the Switch on a table, which holds the Switch better than the actual stand itself. However, it is not compatible with docks and cases. To install, on the top, there are two pins on the top and bottom which hold onto the switch, two of them on the top says "OPEN". Put the Switch on the bottom pins, then push the top pins upwards, push the Switch in a little more, and then let go of the pins. This is my favorite case out of all the ones I have.

So I'm very thankful for this review and list of recommendations. I have been saved since day one of my LG phone by otter box. I will attempt to replicate the dual case protection that otter box offers for phones. Its a hard plastic case with a rubber sleeve style protection over top. I think combining the nyko with one of the rubber sleeves first mentioned would accomplish this. Just throwing it out there for those who have younger children that they have bought or plan on buying a switch for.

going for the mumba rubber too…the main purpose of a cover is to protect! not look fancy, don't see the point on buying a plastic cover which would break or a silicone one that really just protects against scratches

Can you help a Dad at Christmas? What carrying case would you use with the Mumba. and would you make a list of accessories we'll need? (ie. 128 GB micro sd, screen protector etc) I'm sure many of your viewers would benefit from this…Thanks so much

Nylon thin case make much more sense. I like docking my switch nd I’m not gonna be removing my case everyday. Plus I want designs and don’t want it covered.

The Mumba case which is raved about everywhere is shocking. Yes I got the rugged one and I HATE it. I am starting to believe they were all paid reviews.. Anyone who has actually used it, come on! For one, it can not even fit over the hori joy con. It's impossible to use (the volume buttons won't align nor the power). Ok, they don't claim it does, so I won't hold it against them, but it does mean I can not use the officially licensed hori d pad with this case.. I have to use the joycon WITHOUT a d pad. Huge oversight. Secondly, the volume and power buttons are terrible*. They require significant force and have zero clicks.. Totally ruining the feel of nintendo's buttons. Thirdly, the way the shell is designed around the cart case, makes it *extremely difficult to open without a tool (as a male without long fingernails).. AND, it stops the cart door from reaching it's usual most open position.. You have to try get your finger in to remove the cart and it scrapes the door the whole way in and out as the clearance is no longer there. Shocking design, absolute RUBBISH.

Who tests these things? I mean, do they expect users not to be changing their carts? Finally, even though i DID know about this (I am no liar), there was no need from a design standpoint for it to cover the stand.. That was just stupid. 35$ thrown away into thin air as far as I am concerned. The only thing it has going for it, is it DOES somewhat stop the hand cramps and make it a lot more comfy to hold. So, for games where one would choose to use the analog stick, it's comfortable.
    (medium size adult hands here).
But, with the mumba case on, it's no longer a trivial task to remove and connect joy cons, so, the case has to be removed every time I want to connect the hori d pad.

I'll be searching for an alternative asap. I just noticed the orzly one for $11 shipped from amazon and because it doesn't replace any buttons (nor cover the stand) it should work with hori, and the grips look even more comfortable than the mumba.

ANY other suggestions, I am all ears. I really hate to waste money. My rating for mumba rugged case is 3/10. Honest rating.

I got the nyko thin case for 13 bucks you can't beat it and I don't see my self taking my switch out and about much if at all so protects it just fine for being at home. Keep it looking like new and I'm sure it prolly affects in a good way how hot the switch can get compared to other cases

If it's not dockable it immediately gets removed from my personal list. I play 85% handheld but removing a case even for that 15% is a royal PITA.

I had one question on mind, that whether or not the JETech case would fit in the small carrying case. I looked through all the review videos on youtube about this case (~10) and this is the only video that demonstrated the compatibility with the carrying case. Now, that's how you should make review videos, really think what matters to the users.
Thanks for making the video. Keep up the good work!

I got the Nyko Crystal clear case for my Switch System. As for worst accident I ever had with a hand held System was when I was little and I was playing either my GameBoy Color or GameBoy Advanced by the pool and plop it fell in, but amazingly it survived its little dip in the pool because I did not turn it off, I had just changed the batteries too so it did work for many many years after it’s little swim lol from then on if I went in our back yard I put it in a zipper baggy just in case, can never be too careful nowadays.

I put my mumba on and it wasn't too hard but is see a few reviews from people saying it hurt their switch. Do you think that the people who got their switch hurt are just idiots who don't know how to take it off right?
