Conceptually, I am on board 100%. Just hope that the execution of the game is as good as their reading of the source material.

I hope they get cthulhu right, in the sense that the world is doomed when hes beckoned, and that its futile to try to fight against an immoral old god that makes you insane when you look at him

I beat Call of Cthulhu 2018 days ago after only having it for 2 days and I'm already hyped for the next lovecraftian horror game coming! I've been a fan of the Cthulhu Mythos for 13 years because I played Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the Earth on original Xbox. I fell in love with the awe and Dread that these games fill me with. I even own The Necronomicon by HP Lovecraft.

It all was really well done until the random tentacles appeared. You can't just throw tentacles at everything and call it a Cthulhu/H.p Lovecraft franchise. If you really think thats how it works then you don't know shit about Lovecraft's work and are just a poser.

Let's see: a trailer featuring zero-gameplay; a developer that's never actually made a game like this before; and Uncle Lovecraft's Spooky Stories. Best of luck to Frogwares, but luck does not a good game make.

Huh is this based on Innsmouth? Seems like a mix of Shadow over Innsmouth and Call of Cthulhu what with the fish people and alien-looking idols. I really hope they properly establish that feeling of the horror of the unknown in this. Looks like there's some great potential here.
Plus that tentacle was pure The Mist.
