nice review but! #1 there are $25 dollar headsets with better comfort than these. #2 these are not hard to drive. you are refering to the original first revision of these that where 150ohms. if the audio cable is removable you got the 50ohms version and that is driven easily by on board audio on todays boards. #3 the highs are very nice, the lows are severely lacking and the mids are meh. #4 try using a preamp or equalizer to boost the lows and they quickly start distorting. I have both game zero and game one. tested with SB Z sound card as well as Schiit stack. There are headsets priced less than half of these that might not sound great out of the box but definitely destroy these once tuned correctly, specially for gaming. IMO they are OK but not as good as SO MANY reviewers make them to be.

The Game Zero is no doubt top grade quality in the gaming headset. The sound quality, the build quality, the VERY GOOD mic quality for a "gaming headset", everything is miles better than most other gaming headset, so the price is justified. But if you are going to buy this headset it should be combine with a DAC/AMP or a PCI-e sound card because this thing needs a lot of juice. Most mobos nowadays are pretty capable of sound quality but they won't beat a DAC/Amp combo for this headset.

Again, they are pretty expensive tho, and the fact that it only comes alive with an external DAC/Amp could turn people down from buying it, and also there are other headphones (phones without the mic) that can be better with a DAC/Amp for the same price. But considering the price, the quality is top notch. I thing I would give the Sennheiser Game Zero an 8/10 for a gaming headset.
