I just finished reading Pet Semetary last week, now i watched the movie from the 80s and I thought it was a horrible adaptation compared to the book. The way I imagined the book was more like this so I dont know why people are getting all upset about a remake. I hope they make Zelda as horrific as I thought in my mind or as chilling as the last 150 pages were.

C'mon people. The original Pet Sematary movie was decent, but had a cheap feel to it and is nowhere near the classic that so many of you are trying to make it out to be. I guarantee this one will be better just like the new IT was better than the "made for TV" feel of the original IT. This looks waaay more atmospheric than 1989 version.

Even if this isn't perfect, for this Pet Sematary, I would enjoy watching a new version anyways! Also, this looks really well made, and I like the loons at the end of the trailer. Loon calls and creepy forest go hand and hand.

I feel that the best thing to do is leave well enough alone. Why isn't there new horrors new stories new monsters it's as if no one is capable of anything new. So sick of remakes movies or songs.

Stephen King is fantastic. This movie was not only a great chiller, but somber as well. Check out some short horror stories on Kindle ebooks entitled Eerie Tales of the Macabre. Well worth the read if you like stories without a lot of gore but creativity and twists.

Well, they took a great movie from '89, and buried in in the Pet Sematary. It had a great life, and it was buried. Now, it came back, and it's evil. Fucking asshole hollywood corporate sellouts, riding on the succes of IT.

Will people shut the hell up about the original! It was cheesy garbage. The only downside I see about the new one is the time it takes place and Jud's accent.

I know this is the trailer and it might get expanded upon but, why do they have to make the pet semetery this evil place that children dared each other to go into at night. It was surpost to be a place of rest made by children who's pets died. The pet semetery is creepy sure but, it's not bad. It just seemed like the children's way of dealing and learning about death. The ancient Indian barrel ground was evil but, it was quite the walk and isn't right next to it. I'm not going to be one of those people that hate it because it plays with story elements but, I hope they don't completely miss the point of what the pet semetery is surpost to be and represents. I also hope they don't miss the point of the line "Sometimes dead is better" like they did in the original's sequel.
