This is a new review of the Nintendo Switch based on where the console is today, as well as what we've learned about it using it daily for the past year and a half.

Some people might be surprised but the Nintendo Switch isn't a huge smash success in the UK. I'm sure it does very well but we are a very balanced gaming market. The Xbox One is quite popular here- not at PS4 levels but, as a market, we've always been open to change. We have a history of innovation, not just tradition, and we do reward companies who innovate. A handheld that you can also play at home or in tabletop mode just doesn't seem all that innovative. When Nintendo finally released the NES in the UK, we mostly said 'meh' as we had the far more powerful Amiga and we already had- or were about to have- the Sega Megadrive. We are not enamoured by Nintendo in a wholesale fanboy sense. I daresay we liked the Gamecube because it actually had gaming substance. The Switch's tiny buttons don't excite our fully grown hands.

I love my switch. My left joy con is feeling a bit wobbly but for what it is I can't be more pleased

Looks like this is probably too advanced for my 7 year old granddaughter. But this is also what she says she wants. What to do??

Switch is a great console, as a ps4 owner I say that, but the only thing that is bad about switch is expensive accessories and games. Like new Joy con or controller costs 80$ and games are not below 30$

Very satisfying to use. I've always been a handheld man, but have enjoyed the occasional console game (or handheld port thereof) for the sheer scope and detail. My main problem with console games and the reason I can never seem to get up the will to play is that I can't take them with me. Life calls me elsewhere, and I inevitably leave them behind. My Nintendo handhelds, however, get lots of love and lots of use because they can come with wherever I go. GO FOR IT > https://amzn.to/2Ro39fX

Nintendo should release a 4k HDR panel…just the screen, in a box…no joycon, no wires, no sd card, no instructions…just the screen
