January 10, 2019If you're going to spend $2000, spend them on a pair of Sierra Towers and then go rob your mom's credit card for another 700 bucks for the ribbon tweeter upgrade if you're crazy enough.
Or…. spend $1200 on a pair of Sierra 2 Bookshelves and the rest on a Hsu ULS15 sub.

January 10, 2019End games are all well and good especially if you can try them out in your very own space and return them if they disappoint. And best if you can find them used on CL or eButt. That's where I found my end game: Sonus Faber Toy Towers for $750 ($3,300 new). Perfect for my one-room does-it-all-condo-in-over-hyped-over-rated-rent-inflated-Denver. But the sound! The sound is glorious I tell you, for I Am The Music.

January 10, 2019I’ve had these for a month now and I have to say I’ve had quite the opposite experience. After break in, bass really opened up. I also compared them to the LS50 wireless but the R3 was in my opinion a class above. I haven’t compared to the R300’s.
I do have the same bent front grill though, but I’m been promised to get a replacement.
A lot of money but well worth it in my opinion. I love them. -

January 10, 2019Regarding the warped grille: You should be able to easily get it replaced. I had a similar problem with a warped grille on a Paradigm speaker. I just phoned the dealer who sold me the speaker and he got me a new grille right away, no charge of course.
