Seems like a good idea that didn't developed correctly (probably because they wanted to keep the decision space simple) which broke the game. Also seems salvageable with house rules. Spitballing: offer of 2 map tiles to choose from + players have a hand of 2 or 3 cards at once + there's an open offer of 2-3 public objectives + 2 moves per turn with the ability to complete multiple objectives w/the magic token giving you 3 moves + ability to move a tile once they're all out + (maybe) players look through their cards before shuffling them so they know about the map objectives (or perhaps deal out those cards separately/evenly and look at just those cards so you know what you need to get) + (maybe) a colored token for each character that gets dropped in the space they are leaving which prevents them from being moved back to that space on the next player's turn unless their move/s completed an objective (to prevent literal tug of warring).

The ability to complete multiple objectives on a turn and to coordinate between a hand of 2-3 cards and a public offer of 2-3 cards using 2 moevs per turn would add a great deal of depth/thinkiness while having some solution to the terrain-map goals would probably solve almost all the no-win issues.

(Can you tell I want to like this game too?)

Finally someone said what this game really is: trash (except for the artwork). Why other reviewers don't see the problems that you do and that are obvious without even playing the game? Are they getting paid for that?
