Floored and grateful that I finally decided to watch this masterpiece. I feel inspired while also reminded to celebrate my own self worth and magic! Love is an understatement

ReplyI want Janelle to make the comic books bitch planet into a Netflix original
ReplyPLEASE RELEASE THE FULL VERSION OF PYNK PLEASSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE
ReplyAlso, Alan Ferguson deserves more recognition too. Brother is a masterpiece!!
ReplyI wish y’all would stop comparing every black female singer to Beyoncé. Bey worked her ass off to get where she is and she deserves everything she has. Janelle is a genius, sooner or later the world is going to give her the recognition she deserves

Salutes Janelle, Chuck Lightning, DEEP COTTON & WONDALAND SOCIETY. Very ambitious and succeeds in many levels. This film or collection of films/videos conceptualizes the songs on the album better than the album 'Dirty Computer' works as a standalone release. DC the album seems so less imaginative than Janelle's debut THE ARCHANDROID and the ep release or even the last Electric Lady lp (which suffered from lack of ideas also to me).
I hope Janelle and Wondaland have not dampened in energy for their stage shows which were always incredible. And I look forward to the Wondaland Society bringing in art film concepts as sharp as "Tightrope", "Q.U.E.E.N." , Kanye circa "Beautiful Twisted" era, Prince, Bowie "Man Who Fell To Earth" & "Ashes to Ashes" era, Kubrick 2001: A Space Odessey, etc. to their work.
Using Wangethi Mutu as an artistic inspiration was dope. If her or other artists look toward Dr. Fahamu Pecou, Frank Bowling R.A., Barkley Hendricks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kara Walker, Kojo Griffin, Radcliffe Bailey, Hype Williams, Julie Dash, Arthur Jafa, Flying Lotus, Shaun Peters, etc. they will expand their scope of expression and share great work with the world. Keep going Janelle & Wondaland.
