Why would they do this? Is it to save money? It's false advertising. No? Lawsuit?

This is stupid. Are you saying the pre-alpha demo specific game needs to look identical to the finished game more than 2 years later, running on multiple platforms? People always put their best foot forward when showcasing something new they create to convey their ambition and love for the project and over the course of development have to cut things that are non-essential for the final product to be realized. Anthem is still a gorgeous game with a grand scale, which is what Bioware wanted to showcase at E3 2017.

After the longing screen simulator that was the demo, I understand the downgrades

I know everyone has there own opinion but the game still looks amazing. I hate E3 demos because they ALL over sale games with the graphics and content. But Anthem wasn’t the only one to have this happen.

Hell even God of War E3 trailer was different from the retail. Though I would say God of War didn’t change in graphics but some things were removed.

ok seriously, the game still looks very good so chill out. but of course i still haven't bought the game. those games ALWAYS lack content in the beginning. so i wait for a definitive edition and maaaaybe then i'll play it.

E3 is to make it like a movie, but the real one must look like a game. Ubisoft makes it look graphically good so i don't have any problems

Bioware is probably preparing a big patch to upgrade the game to how it should've been. But it won't be released till the launch of PS5 or new Xbox~LoL

So this is straight up false advertisement. That’s like ford showing you and f350, tells you it’s an f350 , and then gives you a Honda Ridgeline

I don't really understand the surprise here. It's an E3 trailer, it's obviously going to look way better than the actual game because it was made and tailored for the presentation. It isn't actually a game they were showcasing, merely a video that was made to look a like a game if you catch my drift.

To really get what I mean, look up the E3 rainbow six siege announcement trailer where they sort of go through a match with "gamer speak" in the background, and watch the ammo counter very closely. At one point in the video the counter doesn't decrease even though the player is firing. It's an animation made to look like a game, which is why so many elements in the trailer are different in the final release.

It's just watch_dogs all over again.

I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that what we saw at e3 was a cutscene designed to look like gameplay

This is EA guys. They have lied repeatedly on every game they've released. Stop buying their games expecting it to be good. All you're going to get is a half finished down scaled lootbox grind.
