#TombRaider #PeterRabbit #GameNight Find my social media links and learn about my novels at https://www.mcleanamy.co.uk So far, I feel like my resolution to see more new releases this year is going well. However, does quality match quantity with this recent batch of films? Watch to find out! The movies mentioned in this video are as follows:

Peter Rabbit
Director: Will Gluck
Writer: Rob Lieber
Cast includes: James Corden, Fayssal Bazzi, Domhnall Gleeson

Tomb Raider
Director: Roar Uthaug
Writer: Alastair Siddons, Geneva Robertson-Dworet
Cast includes: Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins

Game Night
Director: John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein
Writer: Mark Perez
Cast includes: Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler

Love Peter Rabbit? Tomb Raider? Lara Croft? Beatrix Potter? I saw the Peter Rabbit movie, and I do love Lara Croft Tomb Raider 2018! I’ve never played the Tomb Raider game, but I do want to play Tomb Raider PS4 or the new Tomb Raider game! Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider is my favourite, but Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider is great! I’d love to visit Beatrix Potter World and learn more about the Tale of Peter Rabbit! What did you think of the Game Night cast? The Game Night movie? I can’t remember the Game Night age rating or even the Game Night release date, but is it worth it?

I haven’t seen the Peter Rabbit film, but want to for the fact I grew up with all the books etc and the cartoon on tv etc. Little worried how what you explained impact wise could be on the disabled community, but can’t really comment on it till I see it! Great video. TC Stacey K @ RawAbilityLife

Haven’t seen any of these actually. Nice to hear your thoughts on Tomb Raider. I didn’t see it bc I couldn’t stop comparing it to the Jolie version, but I’ll give it a watch.

I was nervous you were going to have negative things to say about Game Night. I agree that it was better than expected. It was funny from start to finish, which for some reason I feel like most comedies drag on the last 30-40 minutes. The pacing of game night was noteworthy for sure

This tomb raider was based off of the new series of video games which means this one is more about adapting than Jolie’s was after all the Lara Croft that Angelina did had been doing in for years in the film lore this one this is pretty much crofts early years as an explorer

I saw Tomb Raider twice at the cinema (I’m a huge TR fan and love both the Jolie films and Alicia’s) and I found it to be so interesting and amazing. I was worried at first at the absence of Jolie but I think Alicia played her part so well. I have just seen Ready Player One yesterday and WOW! You will not be disappointed it was one of the best and most surprising films I’ve ever watched. Especially in 3D!!

The Peter rabbit movie was extremely unenjoyable I mean it strayed away from the innocent source material, and tried to ripoff Paddington by setting it in modern times! With the result of a film that can be good but chooses to be just another sony movie

Peter Rabbit irritated the arse off me too! I’m a bit unsure about the new Tombraider for the same reason. I love the Jolie version. I was a big fan of the games having played them all and I honestly think Angelina portrayed it perfectly. We went to see Ready Player One today! Wow!!! Incredible!!

I have played both the original Tomb Raider games and the 2013 reboot, and the reboot is far and above more interesting. As a fan of film, I'm hoping that this film reboot does the exact same thing? Based on your review it sounds like it? But I can totally see comparing film to film, it might be difficult to enjoy… Great video review Amy!

I went into Tomb Raider very open minded. I absolutely loved the video games that rebooted the series so I was very much looking forward to the film adaptation. Although Jolie’s Croft will always be more iconic to me, I like how this new interpretation of Lara is a bit more down to earth and relatable by showing more vulnerability in the character. I did enjoy the film, even though it does have its flaws, I think it ended well, paving its way for a sequel. Hopefully if it happens, we’ll see the character develop a bit more into the Lara Croft people are more familiar with while also retaining the more vulnerable side to the character.

That’s the thing with tomb raider. I love the games and have played all of them. The game it’s supposed to be based off from 2013, is supposed to be an origin story for Lara Croft. I actually love the 2018 film better almost because I’ve come to love this version of Lara more. If they were to do the sequel based off the next game in the reboot series ‘Rise of Tomb Raiser’, I believe they could do a much better job. In the game SPOILERS*

Lara’s father is well and truly dead. We find in the second game it was a suicide. He was called crazy for his belief in the supernatural. The island was Lara’s own finding but the second game was based of listening to her fathers research for eternal life as he wanted to bring back Lara’s mother. It was the last project before before he died and that is when we learn more about the order of trinity which wanted that power of eternal, life the divine source. It would have made a great film but I don’t know how hey are going to go about it with the changes they made with the first film. As far as the film was in my opinion, I think it was good enough I’d watch a sequel but you can’t beat the reboot games they are amazing and some of my favourites of all time.
